About the crocus subgroup

Crocus are an amazing group of bulbs. Their epicentre of distribution in the wild is concentrated around the Mediterranean, particularly in Greece and Turkey. Some species grow at sea level, some in woodland environments, others at high altitude in alpine meadows. Some are relatively easy to grow in the open garden amongst mixed plantings, some have very particular needs including a dry summer rest. 

There are no additional fees required to be a part of the Crocus subgroup, all members will receive information regarding this subgroup.

Our annual members-only seed exchange provides access to an amazing selection of species and cultivars. 

Crocus subgroup members occasionally contribute bulbs to the fundraising plant sales held by the AGSVG. 

From time to time the Crocus subgroup may hold special meetings or events that will be advised to all members.
