22 November - 2 pm - Botanising in Armenia
Joint meeting with The Ferny Creek Horticultural Society.
Speaker Di Barrie.
In 2024, Di went to Armenia with Harry Jans for a botanising trip, on which they saw wonderful Iris, Scilla, beautiful landscapes, and visited very early Christian Monasteries. Walking in Armenia is relatively easy, which meant that Di could easily access mountain meadows and woods.

We are particularly excited with the introduction of the Winter Plant Show element – with judging criteria (link below) and prize cards (exhibiting is for AGSVG members only; exhibits are not limited to South African Bulbs). The inaugural Otto Fauser medal will be presented to the Best in Show. This medal celebrates Otto’s enthusiasm and contribution over a long period for growing and sharing his knowledge and plant material.
There will be plant sales to entice delegates (full listing - tbc), and light refreshments for delegates. Details of catering can be found at the Trybooking link above.
